The Cessna 206 has been the work-horse for MAF, and many other mission aviation organisations, for many years.

As usual the arrival of the aircraft causes local people to gather around as it is their only link with the outside world, other perhaps, than HF radio. The aircraft is at Mount Tawa in PNG's Southern Highlands. Although not high, the mountainous terrain is extremely rugged and travelling on foot is slow and arduous.
