Yambaitok is only 700' above sea level and located beside the fast-flowing Yuat River. It is several days walk from here to Kompiam (see the previous picture) and it is not uncommon for women with difficulties giving birth to need a medical evacuation.

The man facing the camera is Paul. In early 2009 he left the community to go to bible school to train as a pastor, a major undertaking for somebody with little formal education and who has spent most of his life in his home community.
