Goroka - in our opinion the nicest of the highland towns.

The climate is a bit warmer than Mount Hagen, though they are much the same in altitude and the place has a more relaxed feel to it.

There are good shops and a couple of places where you can have a good meal for a very reasonable price - something of a rarity in the highlands as there aren't very many places where you can go for an evening out.
