Village houses are constructed in different ways in different places as some of the previous pictures have already shown. The different methods are also reflected in different shapes - rectangular to round, long or compact.

These huts are at Yambaitok, a small community near the Yuat River not far from where it leaves the highlands and flows out into the Sepik Plain, about half way between Mount Hagen and Wewak.
