The Strickland Gorge provides some of the most spectacular scenery in PNG. The river is formed from two other substantial rivers, the Ok Kom and the Lagaip, and drains a large area of the highlands. Running in a generally south westerly direction it eventually joins the massive Fly River which empties into the Gulf of Papua to the south of the country. |
