Tabubil is the mining town and airstrip which supplies the Ok Tedi copper mine. To the north and north east the narrow valley is dwarfed by the sheer sides of the Hindenberg Wall. These cliffs rise many hundreds of metres and generate the difficult weather conditions that are notorious among pilots working in the area. |
